Pioneer Trek june 2009

May finds part of our family taking a rip around the world, well only to the coast of California. We went on a five day cruise to Catalina and the waters around Ensenada Mexico. We had a great time and are planning the next adventure. Woo-Hoo
Also this trip included a visit to Uncle Jerry (story for another day)

In March and April we worked on Ethan's Eagle project planting trees and a water system at the church ball field.

The year of 2009 started out well and has been fast to say the least. We start with family pictures, most of them can be found on our children's blogs, we are growing older and enjoying life to the utmost. What a joy to be with our family for many events this year. You have to admit we make a fine couple. (Mister and Misses Fine)

We got this dog, she comes to us when we call her name, Zoey. I am not sure what this sounds like to a dog but whatever it is she will respond. Do you ever wonder why or what would possess a person to get another dog, and a puppy no doubt, well it must have been a soft moment. Then there is the house training, yes a house dog. Sherry has taught Zoey to ring a bell at the back door whenever she wants to go out. You ask why? well to go of course. Zoey has learned to ring the bell so she can get outside and pester our other dog. Oh yes, whenever she comes in she wants a treat. I am not sure if it is dog training, or people trained to respond to the dogs wishes. So take it from me, a puppy is just a small dog. We wouldn't be the same without them.

Independence Day

HAPPY 4th of JULY We went with the family to Vernon Worthen Park and sat with a few people in St. George to watch, in awe and wonder, the fireworks. It was a pleasant 95 degrees. I am sure there were not more than three thousand people at the park. We were able to secure a spot for two blankets to sit upon. Sitting room was at a premium. All went well, even the fire upon the hill, a St. George favorite. Another all time favorite is the St. George 500, the drive away from the park area and driving around all the road construction. Sorry, no first place winners in this event.
